Conditions & limits of Vietnam visa exemption

• Valid passport: Your passport should generally be valid for at least six months from the date of entry and meet Vietnam’s applicable entry requirements.
• Eligible nationality and passport type: You must hold a passport that qualifies for Vietnam’s visa exemption policy. Certain passport types may be subject to different rules.
• Permitted stay period: You must leave Vietnam before your visa-free stay expires. The exemption period is calculated from the date of entry.
• No 30-day gap required: The previous requirement to wait 30 days between two visa-free stays has been removed. Eligible travelers can make consecutive visa-free entries without observing the former 30-day waiting period.
